Yep. Thats normal.

everything coming in to the UK has vat added to it unless its very small/cheap. various shippers have their own ways of collecting the money.

ALL of them charge a handling fee.

i just ordered some stuff from the us and got hit with tax its a total rip of pisssssed me rite off

pi55 take ain't it! I ordered a full spax kit for my old sierra from the usa as it was mega cheap but by the time i had paid the delivery and import tax ect it only worked out about £50 cheaper than if id bought it over here.

That is why the forum has the wonderful Funkysi.......

I bet if it was small and fitted in a case he would pick up when he is over in the US..... I don't think bodykits, spoilers, engines or gearboxes would fit though.....lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

i dont follow your thoughts here.

Why is it a rip off. Everything you buy in the UK has vat on it. Halfords. Ikea. Currys etc etc

Thanks guys this spoiler better be in one bit when it gets here it's cost a fortune for a moulded bit of plexiglass.

the bad bit about getting stuff from the US is if it has a problem you either have to send it back or even if they just send a replacement you might get stung for more VAT.

so on top of shipping and tax you should also have insurance...

however it is a bit of a lottery and not everything gets hit with tax... it depends on what the consignment papers say and who is working that day...

we would all buy stuff from uk am sure if the parts deals didn't try rip us off. and some stuff you just cant get in the uk shame really
