A producer is a document the police give you that states you must have the fault rectified and inspected by an Mot tester within 7 days. The Mot tester then stamps and signs the producer document to say its been sorted and you must hand it in at a police station.

I see now thanks

have you thought about having a smaller plate made up? I had the same issue with my old plate blocking pretty much the whole air intake space in the bumper. I now have a smaller one that is angled back slightly and doesn't seem to cause too many issues (except for the pheasant that bounced off it a year or so ago).

I will fitting a 99 spec bumper soon for more air flow to the rad the reg plate blocks the opening loads. at the mo the bumper is stock I have the reg plate as a sticker on top of the bumper

I really doesn't affect airflow. You're only putting a small strip of plastic on the bumper. If you're that worried, get a 3/4 sized plate like I have.

Putting a number plate in the window looks trash, as does putting a sticky one on the bumper.

car is fine just want as much cold air as poss really can only be a good thing

Won't make ANY difference!!!! People put FMICs in front of radiators. A small strip of plastic ain't gonna affect anything!!!! :)

Not having a plate (or the right plate) just cost this guy his £400,000 Lambo "The Lamborghini Aventador was stopped in Newham because its front number plate was missing, causing police to carry out further checks." Hahaha.

Minimise your risk, is what I say, don't give the plod extra reasons for pulling you (or extra things they can add to the list when they pull you for something else).
