now all i got to do is put the wheels on rear spoiler, but funds are now gone so the rear wheels and mot ect will have to wait another month. Im so close.to getting her finished.buy the time comes itll be snowing. But looking on the bright side at least itll be ready for spring next year.right ill go and polish the rear exhaust and fit them, oh and i still got to do some wiring yet. Laters.

Coming on well mate - I like the black bit at the bottom of the bumper and the cheeky intercooler sticking out!

Not my thing at all. But the paint looks pretty good and glad you've finally got it 'nearly' finished, been long enough! lol

Im never a fan of that bumper, but you have pulled it of very well. The black centre works well.

Look forward to seeing it with new wheels on.

Car looks very nice, will look even better with the new wheels on :thumbup1:

Looking at those pics as given me a stiff neck .

Just think how much i have saved you on viagra then, and im glad you got stiff looking at my car.

As already stated, I've never been a fan of that bumper, but with the black bit, the black bonnet and that beautiful orange I think it's pulling it off. the FMIC makes all the difference too.

How have you tinted the rear lights?

with a ten of that light tint spray. i sprayed them in a nice warm heated garage and kept on giving them light coats and waiting half hour before each coat. then next day i flaten the paint of with 1200 wet and dry then polished them up a little using G3 compound its exspensive and i had some left over you could use another cutting compound like Tcut or simlar then them used g10 but you can use a good fine polish restore then a good polish.

I did some on a few cars years ago and found it was best to light them up from behind when spraying so you don't get runs....

They can look great from the outside and then you see the runs when you light them up, or uneven paint thickness.....

I used to do the indicators with a light fitting in the unit and run off a 12v power supply.....

Hope you don't mind me chipping this in to the discussion......lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Not at all, that's a nice idea. I would of never thought of that. my fear would be the light not shining through after I'd finished, but this would be a fine way to solve that problem

just make sure first thing first you get rid of all polish / silicon of the light units.otherwise big reaction straght away. when starting to apply the first coat dont go in to heavy cas thats when you get your runs and uneven paint and yourll give up. spray or very lightly dust the first coat just to get an adhetion/ sorry skicky thing going on then as you add the layers keep the can well away and shaken up and dont rush , if i remember with the gaps in between coats took me hours in the evening between tv programs then once done and dryed you can flatten and polish for the pro result. if you think itll take you ten mins then dont bother. good luck.
