Anyone seen this engine bay, I think it looks quite good.

Aint got a clue but its definitely different and looks good.

Surely if you do this, any filler used to smooth it will crack, as its a suspension input point?

Most people use filler in the engine bays without it cracking, it has more than likely been seam welded to prevent this happening.

If that is welded on top as a second skin, then its debatable,

but if that is cut out and replaced with that, then the shape is far too weak for the input forces.

The zed is already vulnerable here without a front brace.

 

I would be fired if I designed a FR Wheelhouse like that! :detective::1eye:
