as some know ive took up running, ive just enetered my first official timed and numbered race, its only 10k but its quite an achievment for me, im hoping for a good time of a round 50 mins which for a beginner is not bad at all

 

its the town moor 10k memorial race, ran in newcastle

 

quite pleased with myself, must get some more training in, its in november, will let you's know how i get on if anyone is interested

thanks guys, ive ran 10k many times but it does feel scary thinking that its done with profesionals lol

Go for it! 50 mins is a pretty decent time for a beginner. I'm doing my first half marathon in March. I've only ever really done 10k runs. Eeeeek!

I do the 5k parkrun every sat morn and do that in 23 mins, ive ran 10k before and did it in just over an hour but that was just training, so hopefully after more training and practice runs I can get my aqauired target

 

Im gonna do the gnr which is a half marathon and im already bricking it and ive got till september to go yet lol

Well done mate, you've really got into it ain't ya :)

 

I had to stop running for a few weeks cos of a back problem and boy did I miss it. Getting back to normal and tried yoga too last week!!!! lol
