They've had them for sale for a while.

Bloody expensive by the time they are in the uk.

I'd be tempted to use the how to in FAQ and use Renault Megane boot dampers instead.

already done mine... cost me about £50 all in...

but I had to drill holes in the bonnet and work out the right pressure stay as well as having issues with the fuel filter in the way..

so when i saw these I thought it might be nice for people who didn't want the hassle!!! and, as everyone knows.. you have to pay for an easy life.. :)

I would hope that Concept ones would not cause that problem.

I would be interested in a set of these...... I was trying to get hold of a set to look at and fabricate some.......

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

what, the same as the concepts ones?

Not sure if they are the same but look pretty good and easy enough to fit...

Ill drop him a text and ask him to have a look at the thread and comment

$150 before that even gets to the Uk, thats a lot of pennies, is there any for a different model of car bonnet lifters that can be retro-fitted on?

I know its completely different but a set for my old Citroen cost £30 shipped from Taiwan

it's not just about the struts... its how to attach them to the car.

it's very much a DIY job, measuring, cutting , drilling and moving things..

These units make it so anyone can install them without problems.

check out the Mod in the tech section..

Hi guys this upgrade is very simple and with out much fuss, I have posted up an How to on my facebook page which I will try and paste the link to here now.

I do this kit as a starter kit for £25.00 including postage UK only and if you want to collect it I will fit it at the same time for free.

My facebook id is Chris Jez Kelsall if anyone wants to added

If you want a good set of gas bonnet struts give mark derby a pm and find out Which ones he has as they are amazing

The big difference in price is due to having 2 struts and all that fitting kit when all you need really is a decent strut with the fittings and then a bit of know how which I have made easy by posting up a link on how to.

I have had my strut now fitted for nearly 8 years so you decide which way to go. You can always upgrade the strut if you want a stronger lift its all down to the user really which is why I do this starter kit. As for the quality all I can say is no one as ever they are un happy with the purchase and really at the price I am charging you cant go wrong. Its one upgrade you will be very happy with

hey..

not to put any type of damper on Chris's stuff....

I just found this on the Oz forum, so it looks like someone in WA made them last year, very similar but much cheaper... (about £60 for the pair, but that was over there)

I don't understand why they can't be made in the UK, they are pi55 easy to fit with no cutting or drilling...

Chris haven't you got a manufacturer that can knock these up?

I have been trying to get hold of a set to get a pattern as I have someone who can make them for peanuts....... The most expensive part is the gas struts.....

If I can get a set I can get them priced up and made......

Anyone got a set that they can get a template drawn on a piece of paper and shocks measured and emailed over to me?
