Hey guys,

I believe my autobox has gone bust. Normal drive the gears seem fine and changes from 1,2 and 3 are fine and smooth but it doesn't go into 4th (overdrive). When boosting, the gears don't want to change at all. Whichever gear its in while boosting, it stays in it and keeps revving high and I can hear a groaning around 3-4k plus rpm which seems to be coming from the engine but its gotta be due to the gearbox. The second I let off the accelerator, it changes gear right away. The kickdown is slippery if not going into 1st. From 2nd to 1st kickdown is fine but then keeps revving up. From 3rd to 2nd, its real sluggish. Revs go up a little then the speeds picks up. It doesn't go past 3 at all. It has a couple of times but pops right back into 3rd. Drivers side exhaust is smoking and also from behind the engine. I can't see any leaks behind the engine so believe the smoke is coming from the gearbox too. Sometimes it does feel that the car is moving off from 2nd gear when stopped. Fluid is looking brown/yellow.

The smoking is blue so perhaps the rear main seal of gearbox and engine is the culprit.

Any of our fantastic Z specialist here able to book me in for this?? Or where should I go or contact for this work??

Work required urgently if possible. Otherwise the poor thing is parked up.

Many thanks.

Zee.

Take it to jeff at zed world or jimmer at power zed. Brown auto box fluid is never a good sign.
