Need help with car. Dorset area.

Who wants to help me pull my plenum to swap my injectors when I got some new ones?

I've read stuff over and over again but I'm just not confident enough to tackle it on my own. I'll have some cash waiting for anyone keen to help.

Well I haven't got any of the stuff yet, injectors, O-rings and the other stuff I no doubt need. Think you could spare a weekend day in a few weeks?

I'd be more than happy to drive to you of course.

My place is like Piccadilly Circus ATM lol. Yeah it will most likely be sat the 21st. You will need a few more bits than that bud. Lower plenum gasket, fuel hose and an army of jubilee clips. You going to do a water by pass egr etc?

Steve it's the upper plenum gasket he needs its about £10 the lower plenum ones arnt needed for injector change

Oh and delete all the fiddley water lines on the plenum while your at it, makes for an easier plenum pull and refit in the future

Not sure if you know........ You can change the injectors without removing the plenum. The dremmel method works very well :)

Alz.

Duh corse it is. Just had that in my head because the plenum sits on top of it.

Used the dremel (Dewalt cordless) method before on two of them. Yeah, I could do them all like that but I'm leaning more toward doing the whole thing right seeing as I'll be doing all 6. While I'm at it there's a few other bits I can get at too.

If your gonna do the egr remember you need the blanking plug for the exhaust and the two blanks for the plenum

If anyone (hellraiser) wants to be a little help and rack their brains, I could do with a comprehensive list of all stuff I'll need to do a plenum pull, egr blank, pcv change, injector swap and water bypass. Anything else that makes sense too...?

I mean more along the lines of materials. This is all new to me so I wanna make sure I've got absolutely everything before I start.

Injectors

injector seals

upper plenum gasket

2x plenum egr blanks

1x egr exhaust blank

3mtrs water hose either rubber or silicon

2x pcv valves

pcv pipes as the old ones will be brittle oem or silicon

Can't think of anything else ATM

Do your cam covers leak? If do replace the seals on them too and the two little half moon rubber seals at the back of the exhaust cams

Nice one, thanks!

No, no leaking as far as I know. I presume I'll be replacing some fuel lines too right?
