As this has been requested so many times I thought I should finally look into it.

 

So if you haven't already noticed we have a few new extras added to the wonderful forums.

 

 

Firstly uptop there is a new navigation menu called Traders as show in the pic :

 

 

This will show and list current sellers and buyers (after they fill in the options) and there current feedback ratings much like ebay does.

 

Then in the post bit under your stats we have your current feedback score with a links directly to that users feedback history :

 

 

So if you've just done a deal with somebody simply goto there feedback page; then look for the "Submit Feedback for Username" link as follows :

 

 

Fill in as much information as you can and provide the url to the sale then click submit in the lower right :

 

 

That's it; hope you all like it and start building up trader feedback scores !

A welcome feature, but surely feedback is a way of comparing sellers of the same service or product, feedback for the sake of highest score only reflects that one service/ product is in higher demand than another.

 

The forum only allows one trader from each category (exception being breakers) so feedback is popularity not comparitive!

 

This is not to be taken as a negative, as I welcome the tech element as well as the quality of all traders currently on the forum but wouldn't wish for a detrimental effect on traders who are used less than others because of the service / product they provide.

I disagree a bit Steve. Cos if a trader just gets poor feedback then I quite honestly would find someone else, regardless of them being a trader. But it helps our membership decide to use them or not.

 

For example, I've never seen a bad thing said about some people. For example Jimmer.

 

Likewise it would help you know whether to buy from certain members or not.

 

I personally think its a great move.

Its nothing to do with popularity, are you looking at the post rating on each thread as that's nothing to do with this feature.

If a trader had a consistantly poor rating or feedback on a forum where exclusivity to your trade is paramount then surely they would be politely asked to leave.

 

I'm not being negative, I think knowing someone has had a good or bad experience is a great feature but if it is to access a traders quailty, then surely we need more competition within each category. My point is if we had a number of traders offering the same service/ product then you would be able to make a call on whether or which you best use.

 

This is not a critical post, only that it might be good to see this system lead to more competition amongst traders and choice for the members
