easy isn't the word I would use....

since there isn't really anything easy to do on these cars... the question is:

"How difficult is it to fit new exhaust manifolds on 300zx twin turbo"

I've seen a couple of posts and a guide about doing it there is also info in the FSM for it (can't remember if its with engine in or out)...

anyway it can be done, you need access from above and below and you will swear a lot.

I'd say Jeff, Silverline or Jimmer would be able to say for sure.

the FSM "engine Mechanical" section page 34 onward for turbo removal indicates that it can be done with the engine in the car... remove with turbo attached to exhaust manifold..

Oh, and good luck!! :)

Just removed my passenger side turbo and it took 2 days to get to the nuts and bolts on my back, ripping knuckles, swearing and asking JeffTT for advice.......lol

If you are an experienced mechanic it is hard, if you don't have much experience working on the engine, it is doable but will be difficult and seem daunting..... But if you want to have a go read as many threads as possible...

If you are going to do it, maybe ask for a local owner with experience of engine work to come and help???

Here is the one i did the other day where Jeff advised me..... and without his advice I was ready to shoot myself.....
