not all the time but sometimes when coming down from speed to a junction or roundabout the car just looses ignition and cuts out ..it starts straight away but can be disconcerting as the power steering goes as do the power brakes .....happens when i dip the clutch 9 times out of ten a pop of the clutch instantly starts it back up again ..dip the cluctch and its ok ..what do you reckon Throttle position sensor? the car idles ok but shows 1900 - 2000 rpm on the tacho ( this has been a long standing problem ) even though its more like 800 900 rpm ....flumoxed with this one :(

Do you have astmospheric bovs? These can cause this kind of issue. First things first is do a boat leak test check the tos voltage and make sure the idle is set correctly.

lol... did he just say have a tos in a boat?

yeah like Z32bolt says (i think) a boost leak check is good... and the FSM as well as tech posts show how to check and adjust the TPS.

good PM can often stop this kind of issue... do a full check on all connectors for corrosion and correct clips.

also have a look at the 6P's post..

do you have any codes (other than 55)

good luck

I never had any stalling issues with your car once it was set up & mapped properly. Definitely no sensor readings out of spec.

its only very sparodic, posibly a loose connection somewhere i think Noz ..its pulling like an absolute train buddy .....had a guy on GXR 750 tried to pull away from me at 70 on the motorway.......oop sorry officer 40 .....i could imagine the look in his eyes when i kept right up his trumpet ..its an absolute hooligan of car now .....

the tick over sounds fine ..but reads nearly 1900 on the tacho i think that might be confusing things as well ....

Doesn't matter what bike it is, when your in a car and start pulling on a bike the face is priceless!

mine did this when i first got it.

i eventually found both re-circ valves plugged (probably to stop the goose-honk)

if you accellerated hard and lifted off, the air would stall in the MAF and it would cut out.

once they were connected back up it never did it again.

check both your dump/re-circ valves arent either plugged off or jammed/corroded shut.

Glad you're finally able to enjoy the car as intended :D

The rev counter itself is out if I remember correctly.
