so you've reported a post three times now and saying to discuss it with committee but the posts you reported in the first place are from some of the committee.

im just saying us members have rules to go by and so do mods, openly showing that rose has reported something makes me feel a bit like i dont want to should i ever need to as it might also get put up on the open forum. members like me should be able to report something in confidence and right now your not filling me with much

 

She's reporting everything just for the sake of it. I can assure you Mikey that ANY and ALL genuine reports are always dealt with privately.

I want this in the open forums as I have never seen such hatred to members of the moderators and committee here. No closed doors or hidden from view Rose. I have seen all what has been going on and its just not working we have tried to bend over backwards to please you but we just cant get you to play fair.

Well I've been a member here for some time now. Don't post much but have seen all the "friction".

 

What Rose put in the thread that was closed was a nothing comment and the reaction was disproportionate. If it had happened to me I would have been pissed.

 

Frankly, to a third party it looks like people were looking for a reason to have a go in this instance.

 

Sorry for jumping in, but I have to say I agree with the above post. As a relatively new member who reads probably 95% of all posts (sad I know :) )

I really do think the mods and committee do an excellent job and keep this place running well and I understand there has been problems in the past with Mrs hollowpoint (please realise this is the only forum I use and I do not know of Mrs hollowpoint anywhere else) But it does look like she has an extremely short leash. Maybe that's how you guys want a previously banned member to be controlled. I just thought it might be useful to everyone involved to be aware of how this looks to the average addicted forum user. Maybe the smilies are genuine, maybe not, I guess you guys know more than me. However if I see posts ended with them I always believe them to be in jest. Maybe I'm a little naive. :)

 

 

The problem is guys, you are new, you havent seen what has gone on before, I have pretty much kept out of all of this due to one reason, Hollowpoint / Mrs hollowpoint (cant quite tell what person was actually using the account as they are together), seems to have a problem with how this forum is ran and a few personal issues with a few of the moderating team, they also seem to have a issue with the rules laid out by this club, and makes that very clear on any posts either moderators or committee comment in, usually as a slight dig, narky reply, we have bitten our tongue on many occasion, what you guys might see as banter, actually comes across as digs, and we get it quite often from a few people who have had a run in with the rules before, But instead of thinking about said replies, they just blurt it out, stick a smiley on the end and try passing it off as banter, yet you can see the undertone especially with how its worded and aimed at committee / moderators in general, rather than just basic random banter

 

Now the issue with the "other" forum and "interforum relationships", we all love the z32, we love to do shows, we love to have meets and we love to get our members fully involved, now most of the members on said other forum, are banned members from here, the rest tend to use both forums and are getting (just like me) a tad bit pissed off with all the bickering going on from a select few (mainly banned members)

 

Now, im not sure how everyone expects us to do 2 diplomatic things in one course, on the one hand we have a duty to protect our members, hence why some people end up banned, but then we also get moaned at for not sorting out inter forum relationships, we have tried addressing one aspect of that area with the perm ban appeal system that is now in place, this was a rather large leap towards getting back to having 2 forums working together for the sake of the z32, but we can not do that when we have people who seem to have a problem with how they "think" our club should be ran, and we can not just say "aah fook it" and start planning things with banned members, all because we own the same car, they are banned for a reason, some due to ripping other members off, others for other reasons (each reason is available in the ban log), but the point is, the other forum is set up and ran by previously banned members, who want to moan and stick posts up, purely on a bash and point scoring mission over on said other forum.

 

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, just like fans of a football ground, they are entitled to voice how they expect their club to be ran, but as arsenal fans have found out, that's Ultimately up to the management, we might not get everything right 100% of the time, but we are pretty damn close, we are also a lot more lenient, than a lot of other car forums out there and despite the occasional hic up, we run a pretty damn good forum here.

 

Just a shame that a few want to try and spoil the atmosphere for others.
