right i have blanked of the front wing side indicators and put some in the front side valance using that wiring from the origanal sides. so far ok. Now because i would like to put some more indicators in the front valance using the indicator/ side light wiring of whitch i dont use anymore it has three wires on the plug. ive tried to use it and the latest indicator lights i wire up to it and works fine but as soon as turn on my side lights the fronts indicator stays on and overrides the indicator. now i would not put one in the front but if i dont then the indicators blink to quick ,any ideas/? its like i got a bulb out but i ant just the front ones not pluged in. do i need to earth it of something accross the plug/? cheers.

The FSM has wiring diagrams, you should be able to tell what wires to use from there...

 

if you want to leave them unplugged you could always swap your indicator module for a low wattage one (i.e. led one) that would stop the fast flash.

Not fully understanding what you've done but these two comments might help.

 

It flashes fast because the car thinks the current draw is incorrect, usually because led bulbs have been fitted, a fast flash relay will solve all these issues and this is bought cheaply on ebay and fitted near your pedals in place of the stock one.

 

Also, on JDM you might have an extra wire in the corners and this becomes live when you switch on your dipped lights and indicate that corner and in turn illuminates a kerb light when fitted in the indicator corner chamber.

Cheers guys ill have a look at that relay thing when i get back. Just to say the plug im messing with is your front little three wired plug that wires up on the front bumper for the little side and indicator but i was trying to use that one cas i no longer use the standerd uk bumper and side lights.i wande what will happen if i just use the same live feed from the side indercators will that slow the flasing down if i used that feed there do you think.might be worth a try..

this is the US book and I can't guarantee the colours will be right but it should give you an idea of what to connect.

 

the flashing isn't because you've used the wrong wires its because the current draw is wrong (it's what phutumsch said)... have you used LEDs?

if so unless you use enough of them to equal the wattage of the filament bulbs the indicators will still flash fast.

 

SO just change the indicator unit.
