Radiator filling procedure

Got a question as I keep seeing/hearing different views on this.

When filling the system, am I right to do so with the heaters set to 40? Also should the heater fans be blowing?

Now on the main main question, the overflow tank. Should I be filling this at all. A lot of stuff I've seen says no, but yet the manual says to fill it to 'H'. What's right?

So does this sound right?

1 - fill the rad, with engine off. And give some time to bleed

2 - engine on and get the car up to temp

3 - fill overflow to H (while warm)

4 - allow engine to cool down, open ap and check, then fill the radiator some more

Does that sound about right?

If you go to the Australian site there is a guide in their tech section on exactly how to do it, I read it the other night might be one on here but I've never looked

Fill the rad to the top of the cap and get the engine up to temp, once the thermostat has opened it will need some more coolant added, have the heater on full as this allows the valve on the heater matrix to open and allow more water through, again top us as necessary, once the level looks stable either raise the front of the car or park up a slight incline facing uphill, this will force any air in the system to rise to the top and with the cap back on open the bleed valve until all air is expelled. Fill the overflow tank to H with coolant and as long as all the air is out thats it.

The overflow tank will draw from the rad or siphon back as required.
