Hi guys

Anbody suggest a decent insurance company that offers reasonable cover for a realistic price ?

Quotes so far range from 600-900 squid.

What is a decent figure for a 35 year old with no convictions, full no claims.

Any help appreciated.

Robin

Anywhere between £600-£900 m8. :D

Really depends on Import/Uk Mods, occupation and location.

Check AndyP's site for friendly insurers.

A lot will depend upon where you live, but in my rural idyl (!) I managed to get insured on an import for under £500 with http://www.lifesure.co.uk

How I dunno! LMFAO :D

Andy lives in a very posh place where F-50's driven by Firestarters isn't uncommon. :D :D

Tinky,

How did you get that quote from Directline ....

I just tried it and it came back with 920 quid ...

I'm 31 FFS, live in a relatively safe area and have a full no claims bonus (protected).

Are you over 100 years old and/or do less than 10 miles a year?

It's just that it's renewal time fairly soon, and I thought I might be able to do better than the 550 'ish I'm paying at the mo.

Hi john

I rang them,gave them the car details,told them 1990 300zx tt, import.

They came back with 370 squid !

No i'm not that old ( 35 ) ,although i bloody feel like it sometimes !

I do have 2 other cars with them, not sure if that makes a difference ?

Maybe I should ring them again and get them to confirm the premium.

Robin

Thanks tinky ...

Perhaps it's a special bonus extra premium for being a smart-arse and doing it on the net!

I don't know, but maybe Bicester's a cheaper (for insurance) area than Maidstone, after all, you do have a lovely shopping centre!

BTW, you may even see my zed around there, spend a lot of time in the area (I work for Elsevier Science - head-office in Kidlington), and often have to attend meetings in places like Middle Aston .. it's a nice part of the country.

CheerZ,

John

I did try online first and it came back with a much higher premium

Try ringing them m8te

As for the village, what a pain in the t1ts that is. Traffic is horrendous on bank holidays

Hi,

Make sure they're not quoting you for a Z31 instead of a Z32!

If it's a second car and 10 years old you can always insure with someone like Firebond on a "classic "policy. This can work out very relatively cheap, but I don't know if they cover imports.

JEZ

I used AON insurance co, they usually have a full page advert in Japanese Performance magazine, my renewal is 420 in Glasgow near Beiruit haha.My car is a UK TT but they quoted me more for an import when i started looking for my car. Their number is 01384552670.

Hope this helps John Crisp

Ok , i know they can be a bit slow for some, and 1or2 had small probs with them, but they did me a good deal,£500,no claims protection, etc etc,got it with AON through Insurance Factory, cheapest i could find, thanks to MAC1 for the info back then, cheers,Tony:)
