Ok......

Is it possible to alter the base of a H1 bulb to fit a H3 bulb fitting....... As far as I can see, the H1 base is circular with a flat to one side, and the H3 base is circular with 2 small cut-outs at opposite ends.

So, to cut a long story short..... I ordered the wrong HID kit for the wife's car, and I want to fit this kit to my 300 and get here another HID kit..... ;)

Anything's possible I guess Alan - it all depends on the amount of work involved...

Would it be cheaper and easier to simply return the wrongly ordered kit in exchange for the right one - even if it costs you a few pounds handling charge?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I have emailed them to say "sorry...." just awaiting their reply. I just thought if they do not play ball, I have a "get-out-option".

I did get the kit from HID Direct, so there is hope.... :)

Can't you just buy replacement bulbs from them?

Possibly, but at more money :(

This is my last option, due to the fact of reducing the lifespan of the filament.... IE, flashing the mains.

Alz.

just flash your front fogs instead (if you have them)

not to mention that unless you do the earth mod and resister mod for the lights you will be flashing the low beam at the same time anyway...
