Review of new Brembo/3gbrake discs and greenstuff pads

Finally finished bedding these in last night, thanks to some info on the net (took 5 days of various different speed braking).

one word: wow.

My brakes have always been pretty good I thought.. they were a bit shit when I bought the car 3 years ago, but once I stuck mintex 1055s on and changed to DOT5.1 they were pretty good. However I still couldn't lock the wheels in the dry (I have 245 fronts though). But they would get to almost that point. Fading would not happen much, until >10 100-0 stops which wasn't bad going.

However, with the 20 grooved disc and greenstuff, it's simply awesome. Braking does not fade at all (I've been thrashing it today.. including getting the Z seriously airborn for the first time which was fun :-)) ). I can lock wheels now, and braking has excellent feel.. you can take it right up to the point before locking and control it there.

I can well recommend these discs/pads to any fellow Zsters that don't fancy spending 2K on AP upgrades.
