After some determination I've managed to find this gem.

Baring in mind mine would be a 2.5" instead of a 3" so would be a bit quieter with the valve open, but i'm been swayed more into a xpipe center section if I can find one separate with resonators.

What do you guys think?

Sounds ok....they look and sound like the HKS Hi-per....personally don't like the 'spud cannon' look they have and they won't fit your bumper at all.

As I said before, if you want this kinda set up, get it done custom.

AAS Exhausts are only up the road from you. they made my VXR8 system look similar to stock, but sound fantastic with the valves closed, and orgasmic with them open.

You'll save yourself money and fitment issues if you go custom.

I didn't think the tips look much bigger than mine, but there is a variety to choose from. They would be getting fitted custom, so i'd hope the fitting would be spot on. but the valves can be adjusted to achieve the sound you want, not just open or close options, hell if you really want you can wire it to open when a certain rev range is reached.

I keep meaning to give AAS an email, but forgetting. i'll get it done now, cheers.

That's my old car.

Fitted with a rocker switch, which you could open to whatever setting I liked depending how loud I wanted. To be honest I normally left them fully open. lol.

That does sound nice. but how does the cut out work? does it just block the pipe? or does it redirect the flow somewhere else? I've seem the Y pip fittings where it just kicks it out before the backbox i.e. loud as ****, or I've seen the butterfly valves that just look like they stop the flow. which then confuses me as to where it goes? wouldn't it just build up a back pressure effecting the turbo's? or does this system work completely different?

the box is a straight thou as well as a baffled ... there is a diverter valve that redirects the gas in the baffled part of the box back out the tail part

Valves closed it goes out through normal back boxes and tail pipes.

Valves open the exhaust goes out of the cutout pipes.

I'm in talks with Stuart from AAS now via email. so far prices seem very reasonable, he said the system can be built to the noise I want....reckon if I just sent him si's video he'd be able to replicate that?

He said to have the cut outs fitted it would basically double the price of the system, so it would end up been cheaper getting the varex system.

Although if I do go the way of just an ordinary system, they are definitely on the short list.

Im unsure how all this varying of back-pressure will affect the longevity of the turbo oils seals over time...
