Got an email from europarts about their latest parts sale and I need some new front pads so had a look.

They had some Mikayo pads on there that are reduced from £78.43 to £13.14 and then using the discount code that came with the email they came in at under a tenner with delivery.

I did a bit of digging as not a brand I had heard of and the are made to jap OEM quality so I figured worth a punt.

These are now £9.36with free delivery instead of over £80.00 bargain

Their list prices are always massively inflated, don't get too excited about the discount. I wouldn't put sub-£10 pads on a shopping trolley, never mind a heavy high powered GT. Seen a set of cheapy ECP pads completely faded and on fire after just one run on the evo triangle in a 100hp Focus, not ****ing good. Run a number of pads ranging in price and it's become very obvious to me that you get what you pay for.

hmmmmm..... Has anyone actually tried these?

ill be giving these a go as mine needs pads al round. and for under a tenner they're worth a gamble, even if they are rubbish.

yeah thats what I was thinking, mine is getting low on front and desperate on the rear... are these pads from or rear?

also is it confirmed that these aren't for teh Z31?... the previous Gen pads are always very cheap.

I bought 2 sets from original offer..... sitting here waiting to be fitted..... Anyone got a pic of genuine front brake pads?

They say Subaru 2.0 WRX Turbo 12.00 & Subaru 2.0 12.00 on the box..... are Z pads the same as Subaru??

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Yup - same calipers I believe..... Certainly the Brembo pads I bought for the Z also mentioned Subaru on the box...

Which incidentally are only around £30 on Ebay - so you for only £20 more you can buy Brembos..... Hmmm, no brainer for me:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I fitted a set of blueprint pads which are oem quality, to replace the wooden red stuff pads that were fitted when I got the car. They are shite fade like hell trying to stop from anything over 70.
