ill start that this weekend but im not really sure what im looking for if im being totally honest

When you pull one plug off you'll hear the engine note change as the revs will drop a little. Plug it back in and you'll here the revs go up slightly. If nothing happens then that's might be the cylinder that down.

I would suggest going round all of the connectors and giving them a good clean as the first thing to do

Datascan, Conzult, ECUTalk and a few others

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

It could be spark plug, coil pack, injector, wiring harness or just green corrosion in a connector....... It might be worth doing a compression test at the same time as other bits......

If I was free I would pop up... But have loads on this weekend.... sorry...

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I'm always up for helping a fellow Z owner but I'll probably be too hungover this Sunday

I would have been up for it mate but I'm afraid I'm out all weekend.

Though I've had this problem twice before and it's always been a spark plug for me. Check as described above...I'm a noob and it was easy enough for me!

Good luck and hope you find the problem!

Ok so narrowed It down to cylinder 6 that is not working. I check the connectors and they seemed fine no green corrosion no lose wires or visible breaks. Whats next to check on this cylinder.

Ok, now swap number 6 coilpack with one of the others. Try pulling the coil plugs out, one by one again. If the problem moves to the swapped coil pack, you know the the problem is the coil pack.

If the problem stays at number 6, try swapping the spark plug with a different one. That will then eliminate the spark plug as the fault.

In my experience it's always either the coilpack or the spark plug that is the problem.

Good luck

As "Evilanger" says, this is the correct way to eliminate a coilpack and plug...... But if you still have the symptoms at No 6, then it would point to an injector. If this is the case, you then need to check for resistance or continuity at the injector plug. (I can never remember which it is...lol) Do a search on here for the correct reading.
