They'll make a difference on stock and you'll get less boost losses when either the engine or air temps are hotter. But in terms of what they can handle? Usually about 14/15PSi on stock turbos and injectors is about their most efficient.

i will be soon runing round 14psi would it be worth uprating them at this point

I'm running stock ICs at the moment @ 14PSi and they seem fine with it, but I'd like larger ones. You do run the risk of pressure drop running stock turbos and larger ICs. Depends what size you go to.

ok if a drop in psi would hinder performance yet a cooler charged gives better performance so whats the pros and cons then of uprated cooler

You won't really lose any pressure with uprated intercoolers, the only slight downside is that their larger volume means they will take slightly longer to pressurise resulting in slightly more turbo lag. It's so small I doubt you'd notice it, I couldn't when I changed mine. I definitely noticed an improvement in performance though.

even the stock intercoolers are rubbish on a standard engine.

After hard driving for 10 mins yesterday my intercoolers were very hot to the touch.

Ive got a pair of bigger intercooler but i need to make some piping up before i can fit them and dont have the time yet

can you get a kit that will just bolt up were the stock ones go and fit with stock bumper i could remove front indicators to to let more air in

I'm running a bar of boost, fitted a pair of used ARC side mounts when I got the car, they are much larger than standard.

Made a huge difference to how the car drives, just feels much more powerful, over the full rev range.

If you see the ARC intercoolers sitting next to a pair of standard ones you will understand why, they must easily be 2/12 times larger volume wise.

there are ebay ones that bolt right up, not the bst quality or design but will be better than stock

do thay work with the old pipe work the other kit comes with all the pipes and bit. what else is there if there a poor design

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TWIN-TURBO-SIDE-MOUNT-BOLT-ON-INTERCOOLER-FOR-1990-1996-NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-3-0L-V6-/251285604759?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a81ca0997

exact same intercooler.

IMHO a VERY poor design as the airflow is only really using about 30-40 percent of the intercooler.

This one doesn't look like it comes with the silicone couplings either.

by the time you payed for all the bits it would be near the japspeed on. unless you could use the old pipes

if you can use old pipes then it wouldnt be a bad buy

Japspeed do a club discount on theirs at 299.99 Just mention the club when you order them.

o thats good like on there wed site says out of stock tho

I've got a set of PACE smic's. They fit straight onto the standard pipes and the bumper fits with no mods. All lights are fitted too.

They will be for sale very soon.
