I can't drive my car because the back wheels catch the arches and the brakes judder the entire car violently.

I have raised the rear using my miester rs but clearly it wasn't enough and I'm not prepared to stiffen it further. While I was under there both back sides have collapsed bearings. I don't know quite which but they are apple sized and wet with grease beneath just forward of the hubs.

So, the plan is 330mm 2013 D2s on the front. Some spigot rings for the alloys which I will sort out when I get home. And loads of driftworks style suspension bits.

And my hicas has play in it. So can anyone work out which bearings are shot from.that description and point me to the better deals out there. Japseed or driftworks or z1?

Thanks guys I've filled a few baskets and never hit pay now.

I know you are trying to tell us as best you can but there are some oddities in the whole scenario.

Wheels catching arches.... What offset/size/tyre etc are you running. This might or might not be related to other issues.

Juddering under braking??? Not always the brakes that cause this.

Rear bearings??? Do you mean the subframe bushes??? Your description suggests this?

Sorry I intended to take pictures when I get home but I was nearly buying stuff online at work.

I just put new rota gtrs on. The fronts are fine the rears are 9.5s with 265s. They only just catch and there are no spacers anywhere. The arches have had the inner lip removed but have not been flared. The car is on monster rs and I will raise it further when I get back.

I know it may not be the brakes but I got rubbish mtec discs on the front and I am almost certain they are at least contributing to the issue.

I don't know which bushes are gone I hoped it was a distinctive failure.

I was wondering about the bushes being subframe because they don't look like any of the aftermarket parts they look too big. As I say perhaps 2in tall 3in across cylindrical black rubber with a metal outer wet on the bottom with a sludgey grease.

Yes but what is the offset on the rear. Thats the important factor in clearance

Better to diagnose the real faults first before buying anything. A picture would be helpful.

Sorry you're quite right, I expected people to say Japspeed are better than driftworks and get a full set of bushes from jonny polybush on this website...

I'll get some pictures in a few days then we have a better start point.

I am afraid I don't fully understand offset, all I knew was they fit on mark derbys car I think his was higher than mine, I'll increase ride height a bit further.

Thanks for your help all the same mate.

I have stock rear arms didn't know you could, these are all things I was going to look into. I was trying to get stuff on the way in the post so I can sort it out when I'm off work. The big issue to.my mind are the brakes as they shake almost from.cold whereas the suspension catches now and then. I considered a refurb a big disc kit and wilwoods, but having read a lot of stuff feel like D2s are the way forward.

This is what I should have done first time round rather than try and remember from miles away from the car.

Looking at the play on the hicas arm it's only slack up and down so I don't think it's gona make the back end too vague. Obviously I will still fix it asap.

Subframe bushes are the big ones you are pointing at leaking.

Get rid of the hicas and get a lockout kit fitted regardless of any play.

At the front I would hazard a guess at your tension rod bushes being shot which would cause issues under braking and cause a snaking feeling...chances are al your bushes are probably pretty worn and could do with replacement with standard or polybushes - decide if you are going to use any aftermarket arms though as this will reduce the number of bushes required.

Thanks misty, what is the impact of the leaking subframe bushes?

Subframe will move under load.. ie when driving braking cornering. So needs fixing before any other issues

It will be adding to you wheel catching issues maybe and also the shuddering under braking. Im with Misty blue on his guess that your front tension rods are fckd like your subframe ones. They are the same type of bush.

Pics are worth hundreds of words!!!!!

It makes the job of trying to help soooooo much easier

Bouncy rear end, a new set will firm things up no end regardless of wheather you go with rubber or poly for replacements. That along with your tension rods and a hicas lock out kit and it should handle as intended. If you start putting aftermarket arms on then you'll get the bug and end up spending a fortune...but it does look luuurvly

I know, I've been looking at my options driftworks, japspeed and miester e.g. looks like the everything included front and rear kits from japspeed would do it. I kind of wanted to keep the hicas just recondition it. My car handles brilliantly, feels far lighter than it is and I reckon it's hicas because it turns in so sharply. I'm working on having it switchable though interrupting the ps fluid level sensor.

the only thing I don't think I can do myself is those subframe bushes. Not on a drive with jacks.
