Does the gearbox have to be modified to fit this, as in the sleeve the release bearing slides on , does it need shortening?

ย

This is VERY urgent as I have to have the car up and running by morning

Featured Replies

it shouldn't need modifying..... didnt have to do anything for my Exedy Twin

once all bolted up and you fit your slave cylinder make sure u have around 1/2" play/movement on the release fork>slave

clutch alignment is the critical part here on saving time make sure both plates are spot square and spline perfect so it goes on first time done few of them on gtr skylines and same box essentially even down to spline pattern can be a bugger if not spot on worth taking extra time on the prep work

As an update, we didn't use the os giken in the end, lucky really as I have found there fitment guide and according to it I would have had to shorten the input shaft sleeve by 4 mm. It would have obstructed the movement of the plates otherwise.
