induction system

Hi all im after some advice, like most of you out there im always looking for a bit more grunt. My 300zx twin turbo is an automatic, which has been rechipped and had a varible boost controller fitted. Now im looking at getting an induction system,so what are the good ones to go for?,what sort of hp increase are we talking?.I also got 2 de cat pipes with car,not fitted .What are the pros and cons of fitting these on and again what sort of hp increase are we talking. The car is like a train when she kicks down,id like more grunt from standstill though and also thinking long term plans like nitrous.Anyone done this?

plus vat . i did cat back and cone at the same time with both i did see a change .the filter it well made thats for sure there are some cheap crap aroud i had a good look but picked that one

I went the whole hog and got two apexis and a Selin dual MAF. Made such a difference to the turbos boost went from 14 to 18psi due to less restriction. Selin thing works as it ticks over fine.20130717_131025.jpg

Noz thought it was quite a contributor to my shock 430bhp on stock autos and injectors.

I got an apexi air filer, good bit of kit. Don't know about performance as I also did a boost controller and ecu change.

Decatts are a can of worms.

I did mine and love it, but some say that it will make your tubs seal leak, I think that if that's gonna happen then its gonna happen anyway, just might last a bit longer if you hadn't decatted

Selin translator is a bolt on solution. I think Noel is working on his own dual intake single maf type unit.

Mine isn't too loud and it's a 3 inch pipe off the back of the turbos. It's quite bassy but I don't feel awkward driving about at night or through town. And on the motorway it's a low burble not unpleasant.

after changing the cat back there is no way i would want it any louder nothing worse than a car that is to loud am just not keen on loud systems
