hello from Spain!

 

I have a 300tt LHD, My engine died a month ago and I received from UK an engine from zedworld, it was a RHD and it came with no oil dipstick, when I tried to put my old one I got dissapointed as is larger!!

 

uk models use shorter one?? may anyone tell me lenth of a UK oil dipstick?? please send me only the distance from the end to the begining of the black plastic piece, i mean all metal stuff..

The dipsticks are all the same size, are you saying your oil dipstick would not fit fully down? if you are there is a possibility there is something down there like a part of the old dipstick!!

 

You mentioned you bought the engine from Zedworld, I expect you have mixed up the name with some one else as we have not supplied an engine to anyone in Bilbao??

I bought it to a guy from barcelona, he bought it in october. his name was carlos. he lives near terrasa... remember?? i saw the zedworld publicity in the covering plastic

tthis engine didnt come with oli dipstick, could be something or a part of old dipstick inside....

you sure your not trying to fit the Auto Box level dip stick ?

of course not mark!!:laugh:

well u have to ask sometimes :) lol ... ... if yours is 20.5 thats right as i measured it from the End Stop

I'm too slow again, anyway now i've gone and measured it's 515mm for metric Euro Standards,... inches, LoL!!!

Ok have checked the records and the engine was purchased in April and shipped in May 2012 after it was prepared, new cambelt, water pump, thermostat, inlet hoses , re cranks seal, crank spigot.

 

As always I have the pictures to show the prep, packaging and shipping day, not sure why the issue with the dipstick I assume it was shipped without it to you by the seller? there was other items sent at the time we shipped it to him and are fixed down to the pallet in the pictures.

engine is mounted seems to be fine, would you give any info you had about this engine?? compression, etc...that will help to know its condition..
