Seeing as my car is still unsold its given me time to think about what model zed im after. I think the only way for me to go down the N/A route would be if it was a manual with a little bit of work done to it like a little more beef than 170bhp. At least I think thats what they are standard. Anyone here who owns an N/A auto let me know how it is with regards to power and responsiveness of the gear changes both up and down.

Sorry for the anal question I just want to get the right one :-)

I guess it comes down to personal choice mate......

TT

Quicker

Maybe more fun

Higher insurance

Possible more reliability issues

Defo more petrol

Or the NA route....

Maybe it will come down to finding the right car at the right price and making a decision from there, anywhere in the country u find one you'll find someone willing to have a look at it with u :)

Go on, you know u want one :) :p

I do miss the kickdown when i had the auto, i did a manual conversion with lightened flywheel, under drive pulley, water pump pulley, light weight one piece prop, stainless exhaust incl manifolds, chipped and it certainly goes and as said, you get the nice pull with a TT when it really matters, but i use mine everyday, so want reliability nut still get the grin factor when heavily booted lol

i have both and i prefer to drive the tt on a weekend. but that said its been off road for two long due to problems that you wouldnt get with a na. ive had this na auto and it aint slow by any means i bought it cas my other car the daily driver had a head gasget and i knew this one and its history and is now up for sale. i prefer the man but im a drivers person and love doing doughnuts and controlled skids and the like, that said i also like the fact i can give it large to the auto well in the knowing that its very unlikely to break, there cheaper to insure cheaper to fuel and you can have a insainly loud exhaust which i have on my black na.it still get the looks sounds the tits and sometime its nice to relax and drive without the clutch but ive done alot of work and invested to much money in it so im keeping the man and if i had to choose and i have id choose the man but it all depends on what you want out of your drive and your bugdet. or you could buy a sound cheap na and laters if laters want to change to a tt then do a engine swap. if thats the case then give me shout. good luck with your search bud.

I've drove my tt. Manual every day for 6 years and never missed a beat. The car. Has been alive for 20 years and I have no doubt it's been rock solid.

So if the car has been looked after I would say the tt is a solid engine.
