in the past few weeks I have been in two minds as to keeping or selling my TT,

But have decided that I am not willing to give up on this zed!

So...... This morning I went to go and see a couple of body shops to see about having my sills, wheel arches, boot lid (bird shit had ****ed the paint while I was away on holiday) and a few other blemishes sorted.

After a little chat with the body shop owner, managed to get a very attractive price for all the work, so it should be off to them on Monday evening.

Also decided that while its there, they can also paint and fit my impul side skirts that I've had sitting at work since I bought them ages ago for my old n/a.

Once I get it back I'm going to get started on the minor misfire issue by replacing a lot of the connectors and the ptu.

Then its onto the front brakes, which are causing a severe wheel wobble under braking.

Also got my old leather interior to go in to replace the horrible tweed and some modified speaker housings to replace the awful farting speakers that are in there at the moment.

Really looking forward now to getting it sorted at last so I can finally enjoy it like I used to enjoy the old Zed.

Had a call from the body shop this morning, my car isn't going to be ready by the end of the week now :(

Turns out, my Zed isn't the same colour as the paint code under the bonnet which is news to me.

Its obvious from a paint chip that was on the inner wheel arch that its had paint before but I just assumed it was standard colour.

He said that its not really an issue but because of this it may be a couple of extra days.

I suppose something's can't be helped but am a little disappointed as I miss my Zed soooo much.

It can be VERY frustrating mate, believe me I know !!! :(

Just keep thinking what it will look like when I get it back, and NO rust issues :) :)

Spoke to the body shop again today, they sent the petrol flap off to be colour matched last week but still haven't heard back from them.

So just hoping to get some info, I went through the stack of history I got with the car and came across the receipt for the replacement spoiler from the z centre..........

With a phone number of a previous owner :)

I send a text hoping but not expecting a reply as the receipt is from 2008 ( and how many people keep the same number for that amount of time), but straight away got a reply!

Turns out it was still the old owners number and although he doesn't remember the exact paint code, he does remember that it was sprayed in a Audi standard colour.

So now that I have managed to narrow down the search for the right paint, I should hopefully have my car back very soon
