i was working at my boss's sister's house the other week and she asked if i would get shot of a garden chair she didnt want, apperently it was her dads favourite chair and is probably 30 years old, anyhoos she is a lazy sod and wont do anything so told me to throw it and she would buy a new on, i decided as its hardwood and a nice looking chair i would give it a new lease of life
i stripped it down, sanded it then bleached it (just normal toilet bleach in a spray bottle) to kill all the green mould
repaired one of the ends as it had snapped down the join, and gripfilled (liquid nails) all the big cracks in the wood and sanded it down
then three coats of cuprinol ducks back wood paint
i think it looks quite good, just need some sun and a few stellas to really appreciate all my hard work lol
how it looked when i got it
all stripped sanded and bleached
first coat
second coat
third and final coat all done ready for sun and stella lol
