I fancied doing mine like that (at the moment the left pair are reversing lights and the right pair are fogs).

After having a look inside though, it turns out that behind both the lenses on either side there is a just a single bulb, so there'd have to some sort of jiggery pokery done to get (a) extra bulbs positioned properly, and (b) a deviding plate to stop the bulbs shining out of the wrong lenses.

There are a number of ways to do fog lights. Most popular is to use the inner brake lights. If you're OK with relays or really clever with diodes you can keep them as brake lights until you've turned the fog light switch off and then just the outer lights come on when you brake.

Alternatively, you can just wire up the inner bulbs to a fog light switch (and relay of course if you're doing things properly).

An alternative is to use one of the reversing lamps - it can easily be made red using some lens repair tape which you can get from Halfords. I used this for my wife's MX5 and it works fine.
