How many smokers on here? Anyone tried E Cigarettes?!

Posted

Well have smoked for the last 30 years or so - have discovered that giving up is very easy (have lost count of the times I have given up!! ), however staying given up is much harder!!

I doesnt help that I actually quite enjoy it - especially when I have a drink! Nothing like sitting on holiday in the sun with a drink in one hand and a smoke in the other!

So anyway, I have seen these E ciggies and have always been sceptical but after a guy at work had been smoking one I decided to give it a try and it is actually bloody brilliant!

Went for this brand: https://www.skycig.co.uk/rewardsref/index/refer/id/183903/ which is the same my mate has. Researched online & did rate as one of the best.

So - you still get a nicotine hit (varies in strength depending on cartridge ordered) and nicotine is not actually that much of a health risk at all. It is rated the same as caffeine for all you coffee drinkers (ok, I do both lol), but no smoke, tar, carbon monoxide, cyanide or any of the other nasty chemicals which are in a ciggie.

The "smoke" that comes out is just an odourless water vapour

They work out a fraction of the cost of cigs too! :thumbup1:

Thought I would share for any other social outcasts on here that may be considering it - I would say give it a go!

When my mum had to give up she used them. I tried it but kept gagging on them, so stuck to real ones..lol.

They were very unreliable and kept needing charged up but they worked for her. Haven't tried the one Ian's using though..

I don't smoke but my mates been on these for a few months now and he says they've worked for him but do need charging up all the time. He's saved quite a bit of money aswel.

Got a friend who uses these, and it seems to be working for him. Gets some funny looks when he uses it indoors though.

Slightly off topic but what's a good price for 200 lamberts these days????????? Got some I want to shift

i pay £35 for none snides but i bet the prices are related to regions

Its working brilliant mate, haven't had a ciggy since i started using it, very strange not wanting to even smoke a real one thats for sure, i already have a better sense of smell, taste, the batteries last around 1 to 2 days depending how often you use it, its fully rebuild-able as well, honestly it was the best thing ive done in ages, as my mate makes up the E-juice, ive asked him to lower the amount of nicotine every now and then, but with out telling me, to slowly ween my self off it for good.

I tried those ones that look like real ciggys, with the light up tip, but they not only leave a nasty after taste, but also feels like you are breathing sand paper and leaves you with a sore throat. This one im using, makes you cough for the first couple of goes until you get used to it, doesn't have a after taste, and once you are used to it, is smooth as breathing air.

You lot are late to the party, think of all the money you could have saved if you had listened to me nearly 2 years ago with my attention all smokers thread!
