When driving (appropriatly)! my car has started skipping a bit, MK has a nat speed limit almost everywere.

big a pedal, focus on rondabout, stamp on b pedal, abs saves all, squirt on a pedal hit a bump or manhole passenger givin lords prayer! Arse end bouncing sideways like a Dale Winton fan! never happend before but now its noticable, checked all I can think of bushes, pressures, shocks, etc.

Antbody got some ideas Hicas ok.

The car has now settled in after some weeks of bit cleaning and maint', its a lot quicker but surely some tlc, would not cause this?

Get your shocks checked out, could be the problem, was on mine. What is your car? If it's a TT pull the handbrake up one click(one click only!) so that your park light comes on. Drive around and see if that makes a difference, this activates your adjustable shocks from soft and sloppy mode to sporty and stiff mode. Why we didn't get buttons like the yanks I will never know!!!

I would place a firm bet on the shocks fella. However, I'm going on what Bob told me at Arriva when I drove my car about 4 full moons ago!!!

 

My shocks were replaced but 'till I get it back from SE I won't truly know if Bob was right or not.

 

Also, that's why I've stayed away from aftermarket shocks, coz one day in the near future when I'm in a tight spot even with me TC I will have the advantage my friend...I know about the adjustable shocks trick...ha ha haaaaa!!!

is that a standard feature on all Zs with regards to the suspension??

Is this adjustable shock thingy for the import guys or do us UK owners have it as well. Can't be bothered to pull trim off and look for myself ;-)

uk cars have it, not sure about imports..

Had a good look at mine a while back and could find no evidence whatsoever that this is available on imports.

 

However, I've just bought a set of Tokico adjustables so I'll be able to say for dead certain shortly.

As Craig said, UK have it, not sure about the imports. Try a search on this, we had a really long post a while back about it. Matty started the thread I think.

 

Surprised quite a few people when they finally looked at their cars!

i found that at 70mph comming out of a roundabout also tends to get the car sideways
