Running without 02 sensors

After much pain I finally got the downpipes off then to find that I cannot remove one of the 02 sensors from one of the pipes and have rounded the nut.

The car cannot stay where it is today and needs to be driven so would it be ok to drive for now without the 02 sensors connected to my new downpipe?

i drove for 3months before with them both unplugged. didnt do any damage to mine.

o2's fail pretty regularly for some, and as a result a lot of people just don't bother. iirc they only do anything at the lower part of the rev range? I might be mistaken there though. Glad you got the old ones off though.

yep, they only work at part throttle AFAIK, when they are not working on cruise it will overfuel and your economy will drop by quite a bit.

Closed loop is enabled at a certain area in the fuel maps, dependant on the specific chip in question of course. Once up to temp, it's based on load & RPM (generally speaking), not throttle position. Different cars react differently to having the O2 sensors disconnected I've found.

As a temporary measure, it's fine.
