here's an odd one, every so often when i boot down in me Auto TT then the boost just doens't kick-in, its only happened 3 times now, and i'd normally be doing about 40/50mph when i boot it to overtake, anyone else had this, its nothing to do with safety boost or something has it?

anyway any ideas much appreciated.

Just changed the brake pads for some yummy ebc red-dots but man the brakes in the Z are a load of s**t aren't they? did i read somewhere that the skyline calpiers and disks can be fitted?

anyway happy Z'ed in, especially now we starting to get some ice on the roads in the morning, so come on then who's gonna be driving there Z over winter?....... me thinks fish and tail spring to mind..........

Hmmmmm, Audi TT. Full of faults. There is a site with where some one put down all that went wrong with his Audi. They say that faults that take 80,000 miles to occur in a normal car will take 10,000 in a TT.

Yes with simple modifications Skyline brakes will fit on a Z quite easily.

I will be driving my Z in the winter. I have two words for it, fun and slipply. ;)

I also have traction control which helps with pulling off and cornering to an extent

Errm, AUTO not Audi TT.

Oxtobyd, when you say the boost doesn't kick in, is it because sometimes the autobox kicks down a gear and others it doesn't? If so, mine does the same and always has done.

My eyes are going. Im tired :o

I thought it was strange asking about an audi :D

Does the boost not work at all or is it safty boost?

Doesn't the auto box have a sensor that knocks it into Power mode when you boot it? Maybe it's that that's failing?

Cheers for replies.

the auto does kick down the gears without a problem, and also Power mode does kick in when its supposed to, so i can't really tie it down to anything, unless there is some sensor at fault in the auto box, guess trying one of the self-diagnosis tricks that i've seen posted somewhere may help.

I can c traction control been a big plus with winter coming round, lucky bugger, mind you was TC an option then, or only for UK cars...?

Skyline Brembo kit bolts straight on to the car, no modyfing for the R33 - and a different size bolt for the R34 (very easy to sort out)

TC is made by Racelogic, you can get it from Racelogic.

It's a very good system.
