Was changing the oil earlier today and to my surpise noticed that one of the front springs has snapped.

It is broken in exactly the same place as a thread Jeff put up back in April regarding seeing lots of cars with broken springs.

Not something I can tackle myself, so will have to get a garage to do it.

What sort of springs are out there, I'm quite happy with the way the car drives, it's using Tokico shocks which were replaced before i got the car and I've no reciepts in my history for springs, so assume they are older and standard, but not sure how to check if they are standard or lowered?

Cheers guys.

Slight update, seems the springs where replaced at the same time as the shocks, 4 years and 12k ago, guess this is what happens when you live in an area that has more potholes than road.

Mjp can get springs made to whatever you like. I had standard rate ones made and they`re great

Might give him a bell, the spring that snapped came from MJP though, so not sure if I would want them again.

MJP it is then, same spec as before, hopefully last a bit longer this time, but with the dodgy roads we have, who knows.
