Here is my 7 year old ex racer Kane who came to me at the end of last year.

This is a typical evening pose.....

by the way, greyhounds make lovely house pets, great with kids and family and some can also be ok with other pets but please request a home visit with the re-homer before taking it in (although a decent rescue centre will request a home visit anyway)

My golden (Oscar) chases, catches, shakes, kills and brings rabbits back without puncturing the skin. He's a bloody good assassin who bizarrely just did it instinctively one day. My other golden, who we sadly lost a year or so back, could never catch one, so would wait for the other to drop his kill at our feet then grab it and maul it until it was indistinguishable with internal organs flying everywhere and his coat like a rabid murderer!

We used to live on the edge of farmland and the farmer allowed us to walk the perimeters of his crop fields, he used to hunt as a hobby and asked if he could use Oscar for his hunts. We considered it but decided there was a fine line between a 'working dog' and a pet, so didn't let him play!

this is my gf's dog oscar
