its a Sub fame to chassis support .. and yes its needed as if you dont have it u will not be supporting the Rubber bushing with in the sub frame correctly and it could pull down under high/shock loads

it holds the subframe on, 2 bolts in body and 1 bolt where the subframe slides on.

 

if u need them probably got some spare u can have for free...

is it on all four bushings or just the front two?

you should have those 2 bracket-cups on the front 2 bushings and then two round cups for the 2 back ones

 

OK next question,

 

Which of this merry lot (marked blue) is the bushing? (i.e. the one that gets replaced by PU). I'm assuming the nut is captive in the subframe?

 

And what is this fella holding on (bolt marked red)???

55474 55475 is the bushing 55475 is the bushing anti squish washer/tube

 

if your rebuilding get the uprated polly ones

that bolt would be holding on the rear Hicas unit if its a TT frame

Nope lwb and swb subframes are the same
