Seeing as I have the facilities (a photocopier!) to run of a batch of leaflets for the Trentham Classic car show I whought I would have a go at designing something. I want to create something that is very positive helps to promote the image of our cars

There are cars attending from this site and ZClub so I want to do something that gives equal prominence to all models of the Z car and to both sites

I have attached a rough layout that I am thinking of using

The top section will have both club banners

Each car section will have a photo of the car (or maybe two), a paragraph applicable to that model and then a table of information (for example a bit of info on variations of models in that type) or whatever best fits like a bit about track times we are acheiving

The info I would like to put is what I think would be of most interesting to those attending the show so I am thinking

Model

Years of Manufacture

How Many are left

BHP, 0-60 (stock)

BHP, 0-60 (typical modded)

Price Guide (project, good, pristine)

I'd like to do that for each model

It does not have to be 100% perfect info, this is for the interested punter to read, not the total enthusiast

At the bottom a bit more info about each club, this should be done in a way that may encourage folks to think about owning a classic car, tehll them how friendly we are and how much help they will get!

Anyway if you like the idea of the layout, can I have some suggestions of what to put for each car type?

Something for the paragraph about that car, and please help fill in the sprc table or suggest other things I should add to the table

Also posted on Zclub

cheers

brilliant idea:clap:

but constructive criticism please add a X to the 280Z

can send you over a nice z club logo that doesn't have the normal white box around it

What you need to put is just info on the different models, for instance and to keep it simple mine as a solid roof and can only possibly be an import, SWB is recognizable as the fuel filler is nearer the door, a UK spec as built in rear fog lights, just basic stuff that passers by will then look at the car next door to compare and go, oh yes I see :thumbup1:.

@Steve

Yes that error was pointed out to me on ZCLub too! ANd please let me have the logo send too info@ukpub.tv

Also whoever can send me a 300ZX club logo?

@phutumsch

You are very much correct m8 - we need to give some nice info that is relevant and interesting to prospective owners but not too much to overload them, just keep it to the interesting points only rather than be encyclopaedic

The paragraph on each car should be different and relative to that model, The specs table should be the same (for comparison)

Rob Gaskin over on ZClub offered to help me there for the earlier models

What I was thinking for the 300ZX (Z32) was perhaps a short piece about the various models (inc the rare convertables) then somthing about engine tuning/mods and about BHP and track times we are acheiving - basically make it exciting!

Maybe others differ in opinion so let's hear them

Would some one like to draft something for the 300ZX then we can discuss it. Not everything can get in a short paragraph but between us we can probably highlight the points to push

The whole idea of this is to promote and improve the image of our cars so let's make it punchy and exiting

I am hopeing to run off 500-1000 A4 leaflets, this may sound like a lot but it will only cost me the paper and the toner for my photocopier (prob about £15 total for run of 1000) which I am happy to donate, and if we even get one or two new enthusiastic owners from it I would consider that a huge success.... if we get none then WTF I tried, but I would not be disheartened and would try again :thumbup1:

Any leaflets left over I happily will pass on to other show organisers

Oh I also need some pics. If you would like your car on the leaflet please let me know, royalty free of course! Maybe I could photoshop few cars together (stock, modded, 'vert)

This is very much in the planning stage so anything goes, but I will do it and have them ready for Trentham. Bear in mind I can only produce these in monochrome (B&W)

Given some info I will draft something up and repost here then we can look at it again

Some of yours will be fine if you like, cheers

I can photoshop out the background if needed so it looks good in black&white

Hi mate

Here is the bits of data I managed to put together (without a lot of research)

The How Many Left on the road stats I got from howmanyleft.co.uk However that does not include jap imports as they often don't get noted on the V5 with the model

I've tried to correct this for the 300zx Z32 - according to the howmanyleft site there are about 580 on the road but came to the conclusion there are more like 1000 inc imports

Unfortunately this figure would also include the Z31 as the V5 calls them both 300ZX and does not distinguish, so I can't come up with a figure for the Z31.

So we have to make a guess at that figure - anyone fancy suggesting a number that 'feels right'?

Any other info you want to change or fill in the blanks please do so then I can get a draft leaflet together.

Also a quick paragraph about each car type would be nice

Rob Gaskin over at ZClub has kindly offered to provide info for the older models

Anyone wanna add some of the data about the 300zx Z31 / Z32 here? Or correct my errors lol

Anyone want to give me pics of their cars I could use. An Unmolested Z32 would be nice to use as well as nicely modded ones

When I have a rough draft created I will post it here

cheers

Rich
