Ok, quite a simple one . . . so I thought. My heater blower suddenly stopped working one day.

It's not the motor unit itself, that works, as i've put in a temporary switch so i can still de-fog my windscreen.

I've had a good look in the manual and it suggests, from process of elimination, that it's the relay.

Is that a common problem or is it more likely something else? Any ideas?

Have you checked the fuse in the fusebox in the drivers footwell mate

Yes I checked the fuse first, it's fine. The lights on the switches light up just fine, so I don't think it is the control module either.

if you decide that you need to test another switch I think I have a spare I can post to you, it it works then you can give me a few quid and if not you can post it back to me..

but yes check the relay (if there is one), and same colour relays are interchangeable (makes it easy to test) .

Did you find out what the problem was mate as I just found out this afternoon that I have the same symptoms - control pod beeps and the little lights come on - when I select between Auto and Windscreen I can hear the ducts moving to redirect, but no blowing at all.
