Have a look through the stuff I have in the garage and came across my strut brace. I was wondering if it's a front or rear one, whether it's a stillen one or just a sticker on it if not what make is it and what's it worth

Thanks

Was thinking of selling, but forgot how nice it looks. Will have to think about it. Lol

Completely fake mate, send it to me and I'll dispose of it for you :sneaky2:

Only joking mate, to be honest it looks like a genuine Stillen one to me (though it may be a slightly older model) and I dare say there probably aren't that many of them fitted to zeds over here. I'd say realistically it's worth at least £80 and that would be a fair price considering how much Carbing sell for secondhand and with both original RRP not being much different

Edit: wrong link...doh!

It's difficult to tell 100% with Stillen because they have had about 15 different versions of 'their' front and rear strut braces and what I found (this was back in 2007 mind you) was that they had a tendency to re-name other branded kit as their own, the 2007 Stillen air filter/induction kit for example was just a re-branded version of someone elses (pipercross I believe it was?)

I don't know if its genuine or not. I would have thought stillen would engrave the item rather than just have a sticker. It looks like one Jason Farrow gave away at JAE a couple of years back.

This is a genuine one...

Think it's too shiney to sell, will put it back in the box to fit to my car if I ever get it finished

So is it front or rear, I thought it was front?

  • Author

Sorry bud, thought it was a cheap one like the usual ones on here, it was only after getting it out of the box for the first time in about 4 years I saw how nice and shiney it was

I must have Good taste lol

lol.

its an Ab-flug brace. Might run into some issues with fitment too- Fuel hardlines have to be bent, as do the hi-pressure hoses and doesn't clear the throttle cover.

Did a little bit of searching and it's still avalible to buy on internation eBay, not a great make but still expensive.

So any of you that were interested in buying it off me can get them from there
