Air-con pulley removal?

Does anyone have any tips on how to get the aircon pulley off the pump? I can't get it in my vice and even my 16" grips can't grab hold of the pulley to stop it turning.

The nut turns as the pulley spins, does anyone have any idea if it's a regular or left handed thread?

why are you trying to remove it? its a clutch mechanism, if the clutch fails its time to get a new pump, much easier.

I'll dig it out tonight Mark, im guessing as you haven't seen that before then it's a standard one the guy sent me. It's an Unorthodox set of underdrives

far as I'm aware there wasn't one really Unorthodox don't do one either as i have the set on my car ..

not sure really

im thinking we are all on different wave lengths here lol, the A/C pump its self has a clutch / pulley compo, there is a little tentioner wheel to the left of it for the A/C belt. is this what you are on about and not the actual A/C pump?
