Hello

Can anyone advise me i have just bought a second hand radiator for my 92 non turbo, auto import ZX which i thought would be straight forward but unfortunately not. first could not find anywhere that could supply a new rad which would fit straight in to replace the knackered one. then managed to get a second hand one and my mechanic now telling me he cant fit it as he states it is off a manual car.

Would the only difference be the auto box oil cooler and can this be adapted to fit my car if i add a oil cooler.

The guy i got it from has tried to explain it to me but im not sure if i understood him correctly.

I would appreciate some help please as the car has been in a local garage for the last 2 weeks.

Thanks

Lou

The Radiator for an Auto has its autobox oilcooler built into the endtanks of the radiator. The Manual version does not.

In order to fit a Manual radiator to an Auto car you would need a seperate oil cooler to be plumbed in and mounted behind the front bumper, and while thats not a bad idea (since the stock oil cooler in the rad is pretty poor), it will prob end up costing you twice as much as it would if you could source an NA Auto radiator.

Would one from a TT auto fit an N/A Yowser as I have one.

TT version is thicker but not as wide, with its feet in a different location. People do fit them, but it requires cutting and rewelding the mounts on the chassis in different place.

..and would need the TT radiator pipes too.

We do not have any non turbo radiators in stock at the moment either, however the non turbo auto radiator is possibly same as the 1989 - 1994 Nissan Maxima J30 check out the spec on the following ebay listing, the dimensions are all there, it certainly looks the same.
