My drivers side lock

Right my z has an issue where the key wont open or lock the drivers door from the outside . Only way I can get into car is by getting in through passenger side and reaching over to open drivers door from inside. The key will go all the way around in the lock and not connect , any ideas ?

Sounds like the little plastic gimble in the handle has broken mate, common problem and easily fixed by replacing it. The problem is they can be quite hard to get hold of as Nissan don't sell them separately from the door handle mechanism.

If you take off the door card and undo the two nuts holding the handle in you will see what I mean.

yes its the plastic part of the lock that's broke common fault with the zeds

Cheers guys , any ideas of where I may be able to get the plastic gimble thingy ?

Car is currently having an alarm fitted so was kind of hoping I wouldn't really need a key to open the drivers door with remote locking.

they must be available somewhere...

anyone bought these separately???

I'm sure I saw an aftermarket metal one but can't remember where, I'm thinking it might have been Z1 ??

EDIT: Just like the one keymeister just posted! lol
