There was some talk of this a while back, as we're rapidly approaching the end of the year we need to act fast if we want to do one!

So What I've found is:

A4 top spiral bound, 12 pp calender, approximate cost £20

CD sized, loose sheet calender, 12 pages, comes in a CD Jewel case which also acts as a stand, approximate cost £20.

Anyone interested?

What would the images be of? I suspect the weather has gone tits up for any decent photographs, and then photographs of whos cars? and ect ect ect? clarify your posistion please :D

clarify your posistion please

Seated in front of a laptop :D - yee cheeky bugger!!

To start with we need to see if anyone wants one, then we need decent originals in, whether they be trannies or prints, I would like a selection of at least 25 to make a decent spread.

I wasn't planning to arrange any photo-shoots of peoples cars but there are some nice pics out there already.

Macca, Waz, Gio - have you asked the magazines for your pics on disk, or all the RR days guys.

Maybe we need a 'dump zone' for people to put pics so we can choose the best, but remember the editor's decision is final (so it's a 12 page calender of red auto import TTs) :D

Good idea Tim,i would defo have a couple A4 jobbies, like the idea of the "DUMP ZONE" to,.

Well there would be Mac had I had any kind of input from the Members, do you know how many people have contacted me with pics or uploaded any to the 'dump zone' I set up?

0, zero, none, nothing, not a one...

So, once again apathy rules, sorry m8.

Tim

Oooh sorry m8, didn't see this first time round.

They didn't give me elec files but I have got a couple of 10x8s if they're any good.

Or would you like me to ask them for files?

Cheers - Gio

PS or just trawl the rides and pic the ones already there that you like!

Ta m8, we need the hiRes really, the images in your rides section would be far below print quality.

Thanks for the offer though.

Tim - would be interested in this calendar - are there any decent pictures already lurking on the forum or would you like input now for a 2004 calendar?

:D

I have a ditigal camera which produces 2832x2128 pictures.

I think that should be good enough for pictures for it. And I am sure other people have digital camera that can do about the same. Also, normal film cameras with a slower film 100 ISO would be about perfect for it.

Stuart,

You're quite right, given the size you have quoted, an image from your camera could be, theoretically, used at 7.5" x 9" at print resolution (300dpi).

Also agree about the 'wet' process, but for what we're doing this is rather outweighed by the size of the print if the original is a colour negative. I can 'electronically' convert a neg to pos, but it really is not a very satisfactory solution.

But, at the end of the day I don't want to put anyone off submitting their photos. The problem we have is that we've nearly run out of time for this and the enthusiasm has been... underwelming!
