hi guys!! as you know my z needs a new engine and the one i got has'nt run for two years, do u think it will b ok to use, i have been told the previous owner has been putting oil in it every now and again just to keep it from seizing

what problems if any am i going to get by running this engine??

I dont think just putting oil in will stop it from seizing. I think is has to move too. But putting fresh oil in would help it alot though.

It shouldnt have seized unless its been standing outside in the rain with no sparkplugs in LOL.

squirt a little oil in the plug holes and turn the engine over a few times with a spanner. Remember to check/replace hoses and jubilee clips as some may have gone hard or perished and you cant get to some of them very well when the engines in the car.

...alternatively - remove the spark plugs - and turn the engine over with the ignition unti you see the oil pressure gauge move. Pop your plugs back in and off go. (Don't forgoet to remove your fuel pump relay first - so you don't flood your engine).
