Anyone know the breakdown of a typical car of the relative masses of different 'bits'.

What's the heaviest 'bit'/section/component ?

The engine ?

The chassis ?

I'm getting fed up with this place. I just don't need the agro !

Nelson mate

Don't mean to cause any offence. You did some excellent work when you first came onto the forum, setting up a lot of threads in the price checks section that were very well thought out. But you do need to drop this topic. Whether you've got a valid point or not, it is really winding some people up and, rightly or wrongly, you're only going to get flack if you keep going on about this.

Every time I come on here now there is a post at the top of the list about the mass of the car. I really do think it's time to conceed that no one wants to talk to you about this. Whether you've got a point or not, you're not going to get anything other than grief about this topic.

Please can someone start an auto vs manual debate so I've got something else to look at. And, Nelson, can you restrict any further mass posts to fight club. Cheers mate.

Love and hugs

Mike

How come 300z and Timmy used to fight and now they get on like real friends, yet 300z keeps on attacking my posts and NO-ONE else's ?

Because people argue from time to time, drop whatever it was they were arguing about then move on.

Me and Warren exchanged some emails about something a while back, we found common ground (i.e. how crap his country's rugby team was), and got on with life.

If you've found a topic that winds people up, don't bother with that topic anymore.

Just my advice.

I'm on a stress Workshop Seminar this afternoon. Think I need it !:(

Made me realise how stressed I am !! LOL:D

It was very good. Will use some of it to make some changes.

Am going to a Beer Festival tonight, so that should help !

:D :D CheerZ !:)

One word of advice in that case. Disconnect your PC's power cable before you go out and hide it. That way you can't come in shit faced and decide to post loads of stuff on here about the mass of beer having an impact on how inebriated the drinker becomes!

Cheers

...you need to sell your 200 and buy a 300 normally aspirated.

LMFAO.... "Dont make me angry Mr Mcgee, you wont like me when i'm angry" a famous quote by one DR david banner

sorry couldnt resist it, it just popped into my head when i read it:D

bring about world peace and get David Seaman not standing in the wrong place...

This is just my own opinion - anyone else is entitled to think the 300ZX is an underpowered lard bucket if they like - but I like the ZX as it is. Yes, there are things a lot of members recommend doing to the car. I guess most of them would be low key (remember Nico's advice not to do more than exhaust, induction and whatever the other thing was unless you have wodges of cash or tame Nissan engineer in your carport?).

But for me, as it came is just fine. Got a Mongoose (better value than OEM) and will probably stop there. Ish.

When someone comes on strong talking about changing the character of the car so much - mass reduction, extreme mods and so on, my gut reaction is that my choice of car is being criticised and that can annoy me. Which doesn't put me in a particularly mellow frame of mind to reply.

Now it's fine for everyone to have their own opinion - and do whatever they like to their own car, but please bear in mind that to us old fogeys, the more people bang on about the stock Zed needing changing, the more it runs down the car we know and love.

And as far as modded cars go, Pamela Anderson is quite impressive but I'll think I'll stick with me wife!

Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
