I have mentioned this before (also chatted it with Jeff @ Zedworld last time we met as he is REO for midlands and he is happy for me to post this event here)

 

They have this big classic car show every year in Trentham Gardens Stoke-On-Trent with around 1200 cars and 5000 visitors

 

Date: 16 June 2013-16 June 2013 Times: 10.00am - 5.00pm

 

Car Information: Twenty two super years at this great venue which offers over 1200 vehicle entries, 50 Club Stands, Autojumble and Trade - with the beautiful backdrop of the now fully refurbished Trentham Park and Italian Gardens. Over 5,000 visitors enjoy this great day out every year.

 

Event Description: Set in the beautiful backdrop of the now fully refurbished Trentham Park and Italian Gardens.

I had a quick chat today with the show organisers - they would be happy for any of our Zeds to attend :biggrin:

 

And it is cheap!

 

Entry is £3.50 per car for driver and up to three passengers (it costs you far more than that just to visit Trentham Gardens normally!)

 

This gives full access to Trentham Gardens which is actually quite a nice place for a family day out! http://www.trentham.co.uk/trentham-gardens

 

If any wives and gf's who wan't to go out into the 'craft village' they can get a pass out

 

We could either book in individual passes - I will be going anyway - or if we want a group stand (all cars into their own group are parked together and we can put up club banners etc) then we need at least six cars and we book them in as a group, all the passes go to the club organiser who redistributes them to the individual members attendind

 

The organisers close entries 3 weeks before the event, so ther is some time to organise

 

The organisers are www. transtarpromotions.com They also have several more shows around the midlands but trentham is the largest they tell me

 

So come on guys, what do you think? It's a cheap family day in nice surroundings with plenty to do - and a good chance to promote our cars and the club

Most are meeting at the Weathervane (as I have the passes) a few have been posted out already to folks going direct to the show

 

The local weather forecast for tomorrow is cloudy in the morning with sunny spells developing, and should remain dry and 18-20C

 

My cars all shined up ready to go and I have photocopied the leaflets to hand out on the day

 

Mines started smoking like a no there's tomorrow Gray so no doubt there will be plenty for folks to tinker with during the day lol

Just finished polishing him in the dark like a complete saddo and its started raining. Huh.

I was going to have brekkie then set off around 8 with a rough eta of 9 ish at the Weathervane, but I've just seen the picture of the All Day Breakfast on their website and have had to mop my iPad down from all my dribbling! Might set off a touch earlier now and partake in some of that sausagery-shernanigins.....

Yeah bud, I'll be jumping on @ J22 M6, heading Stoke bound at around 8ish (might be a bit earlier if I don't over-do the snooze button and get the sniff of the all-day-brekkie!)

Look out for me after j19 on the m6!

Just looked at going this morning and realised it would be over 3 hours to get there......lol

Might have to wait till somewhere nearer and the Z is back on the road.......lol

First of all a massive thanks to everyone who came out in their Zeds and made this such a good day out :thumbup1:

 

I had a great time at my first ever show as an exhibitor and the stand looked superb with all those great Zeds on it

 

The weather was great for a car show too, a litttle cloudy at times but mostly sunny with a light haze so it never got too hot to be uncomfortable, but stayed a pleasant and bright 18-20C

 

OK this is where the thread gets a bit pic heavy but a great day needs some great pics so here goes :yes:

The last car 'UFO' was not on our stand, he was spotted on 'Stoke Modded' club stand in a very stock looking UK TT!

 

Turns out the guy is already on this forum (can just remember his name) but didn't know we had a group of us attending
