I have mentioned this before (also chatted it with Jeff @ Zedworld last time we met as he is REO for midlands and he is happy for me to post this event here)

 

They have this big classic car show every year in Trentham Gardens Stoke-On-Trent with around 1200 cars and 5000 visitors

 

Date: 16 June 2013-16 June 2013 Times: 10.00am - 5.00pm

 

Car Information: Twenty two super years at this great venue which offers over 1200 vehicle entries, 50 Club Stands, Autojumble and Trade - with the beautiful backdrop of the now fully refurbished Trentham Park and Italian Gardens. Over 5,000 visitors enjoy this great day out every year.

 

Event Description: Set in the beautiful backdrop of the now fully refurbished Trentham Park and Italian Gardens.

I had a quick chat today with the show organisers - they would be happy for any of our Zeds to attend :biggrin:

 

And it is cheap!

 

Entry is £3.50 per car for driver and up to three passengers (it costs you far more than that just to visit Trentham Gardens normally!)

 

This gives full access to Trentham Gardens which is actually quite a nice place for a family day out! http://www.trentham.co.uk/trentham-gardens

 

If any wives and gf's who wan't to go out into the 'craft village' they can get a pass out

 

We could either book in individual passes - I will be going anyway - or if we want a group stand (all cars into their own group are parked together and we can put up club banners etc) then we need at least six cars and we book them in as a group, all the passes go to the club organiser who redistributes them to the individual members attendind

 

The organisers close entries 3 weeks before the event, so ther is some time to organise

 

The organisers are www. transtarpromotions.com They also have several more shows around the midlands but trentham is the largest they tell me

 

So come on guys, what do you think? It's a cheap family day in nice surroundings with plenty to do - and a good chance to promote our cars and the club

Got a little blit of interest on Zclub too

 

I do hope this takes off over there too, it would be perfect if we could have at least one example of every Z model from 240 to 370 at the show, don't you think?

 

@vern936 - and it's nice to see yet another one in sunny stoke on trent lol - yeah I am also a bit taken aback by how many local ones there are! Hopefully you will also make it to the show m8

As an aside looks like we probably have a couple of 240Z coming from the Zclub so far, a 1971 S30 and a 1974

Just to keep this updated we now have a couple of 240z attending courtesy of the Zclub site

 

Assuming Blakpool z32 brings his 350 than what we are missing now are a 260Z, 280Z, 300ZX (Z31) and a 370Z and then we would have a 'full house'

 

The vast majority of cars are looking to be 300ZX Z32(mix of LWB, SWB, modded and stock)

 

Anyone else fancy a good day out and could help with any of those missing Zeds?

Hi rich I am still up for it.the car is going for a respray.

Are we collecting tickets on the day or are you posting them out? :)

@Mark/Blackpool - you two are already on the confirmed list :) Blackpool, which car are you bringing?

 

I was intending to distribute the tickets on the day of tte show (I have a little rendezvous lines up for us a few miles from Trentham so we can have breakfast and arrive in convoy) but I can post out the tickets out to anyone who wold prefer that no probs

The meet up sounds fine to me :) and I'll bring the 350 for equality purposes :D

Nice one, that will be the only 350Z we have so far

 

We have both SWB and LWB 300ZX's, 240's and a 280

 

The only Z models we don't have now are the Z31 and the 370Z. It would be nice if we could find one each of those to come along :wink:

Anyone else interested (and those not paid yet) now is your chance if you want to attend. There is still room to tag a few more on the list, but the organisers tell me this event will reach full capacity soon so it's gonna be a big one
