might be a stupid question, but they are not listed in any of our manuals at work.

i know the TT have a safe boost get home mode, but do NA's have anything similar?

when i was out in my zed noticed i have a damaged knock sensor harness, and the ecu is reading an error. when my TT did this it limped, but will it be affecting the NA?

Featured Replies

on the TT it retards the timing as well, I would expect it would do something similar on the NA, but don't know for sure

Its not listed because they were not available from nissan uk, only twin turbo lwb versions were. Its a good suggestion you got there from jaffa, and you can easy get them to check that at your work, take two seconds, make sure you check it in gear. Timing changes in neutral. Its probably not dett occurring its most likly a duff sensor or harness. If you do get a timing reduction, reset the ecu and try again with the code cleared.

Na's do have safe mode i remember a thread about it around 6 months ago i can't find the link, but Jeff did confirm it exists.

It will go into safe mode and use the safe mode maps - Generally retarded timing and richer fueling.

might have to be a 1m resistor till i do the clutch then im hoping i can get to the sensor enough? can you get to the knock sensor with the gearbox off?
