I have recently swapped out my OEM downpipes for Japspeed stainless ones, leaving only the cast elbows with catalytic material.

I then fitted 2 new 02 sensors. (both existing ones were tested to be dud.)

No big deal I thought. So decided to tax her and take her for a spin.

Once warm, I could not resist giving her some beans on a familiar stretch of road.

WOW what a difference, it really did catch me by surprise! the rear started twitching through second and third and the sensation of raw speed was amazing. Had to back out of it and tucked her away in the garage to calm down.

How could this really have made such a difference?

it may not of had an increase in actual power but it will spool up much sooner and be more responsive.

:thumbup1: Nice I get this feeling every time I time my one for a spin

It's amazing how restrictive the factory setup is!

Posts like this make me miss my zed, only been without it a week but feels like a lifetime!

Just got to sort my top end rattle out so as to be confidant I won't do any harm when I'm out for a spin.

Not sure if you have had chance to listen to my video yet. It's the thread called.. adding a video.

PS Would appreciate your thoughts on what you mmight think the cause could be.

Just had a listen mate and tbh I don't know what that is :( Like was mentioned in your thread I'd check your VCT springs etc. But I'm just guessing really, sorry mate.

Thanks for taking the time to take a look/listen though mate.

I am currently checking voltage from the harness side and also looking at applying 12v to each solenoid.

I will let you know what I find
