Guys im getting squeak and slight burn on the alternator belt when under full load (all electrics on) and im getting 12v with it all on.

Which is at fault here, the alternator making the belt squeak or the belt not running on the alternator?

Cheers

Mark

Most likely a slightly stretched belt, give it a tighten up and should sort the squealing issue, you can also buy some spray, which makes the belt grip more, cant think what its called lol

I've got the same problem mate and it started when i fitted lightened pulleys.i've tried everything but it wont go away but i was told to go genuine nissan parts and it should stop so just waiting for parts to fit

Cool, ill try tightening it up, i wont use araldite though, ill try prying it out. How is it adjusted, ive not really looked down there before

Easy to do, loosen the main alternator bolt, do not remove, then loosen 14mm bolt on the bracket, and adjust the bolt under the bracket to tighten, no need for a jenny or prise bar, the adjuster bolt will take up the slack

Was nice and easy to do, getting 14.2 volts with everything on, not driven yet to see if it squeaks still, but it should be all good
